April 11, 2014
We are running 8 weeks behind on new orders but are finishing up current orders. I fired a glaze burn Wednesday and it lots of custom orders as well as some new work for the shop. Woo Hoo!!!
We are working on Spring & Easter Bunnies, etc.
It's so wonderful to have our friend Carol come and do such beautiful
displays and decoration for the shop. I sure do appreciate it!
The weather has finally cooperated enough to start work in the back yard. Colony Fence Company installed our new 8 ft tall wood fence today and we now can start on our landscaping. We hit a snag on our new kiln construction timeline but that too is in the final planning stages. I had the ceiling in the back 2 showrooms painted and a 4 day job turned into 11 days but finished it looks really nice. Now we are painting the floors and re installing the shelves. Hopefully we will be back to our usual disorder in a couple of day!!!
We had tentatively planned to have an informal Spring Show around the first of April but with all the delays due mostly to the weather this winter and a heavy order load we decided it would be best to just concentrate on our custom orders. We have planned on having some informal week-end demonstrations of different techniques later this Spring . I will also be starting on the 2014 Jack-O-Lanterns in the next 2 weeks. We decided that this year they will be PURPLE !
We are also encouraging all who are interested in being notified of upcoming events and invitation only events to please sign up on our E-Mail list, "Join our Mailing List" sign-up link at the bottom of this page.

If you are looking for a barber may I suggest "Dallas Jones Barber Shop" on Section Street in Fairhope. Tell Dallas or Josh that Dallas' Dad sent you in.
