We are open Mon-Sat 10 - 5, Closed Sunday
June 16, 2016
We had a delightful tour group in yesterday morning courtesy of Landmark Tours of Fairhope. They are always an enjoyable event & we meet some of the nicest people!
I have begun turning the 2016 Pumpkins! The first selection of these will be out in a couple of weeks and we will start notifying folks who have reserved for this year. I decided on a stained finish instead of a glaze. It is a sort of a dark woody look with a soft sheen. This years will not have a removable lid but have instead a cut out on the side to put in the battery operated tea lites. The opening on the bottom will be low enough to not be visible, hopefully, when turned around for those who leave them out all fall.
Susan is in the studio producing more ware, more platters, trays and a couple of new sculptures. She is also packing lots of orders to be shipped.
We have unloaded and priced the new ware we got out of the kiln on Monday. Lot's of new work!
I have also recieved some great new recycled glass wind chimes from glass artist Steve Smith from New London, AL. They have a great sound and are very attractive. Thanks Steve.
Carol, My Decorator, was in yesterday renewing our displays and set a marvelous driftwood display with several pieces of our Jubilee Seafood selection of ware. Nice!
John is through with the construction of our new kiln. The burners were delivered on Thursday and as soon as I can get them hooked up we will be ready to BURN!!!!
Our next annual show held here at the pottery will be
Saturday July 30th, 2016.
We are often asked if we accept credit cards and yes we do, AmEx, Discover, Visa and Mastercard.
We are encouraging all who are interested in being notified of upcoming events and invitation only events to please sign up on our E-Mail list, "Join our Mailing List" sign-up link at the bottom of this page.
I send out e-mail messages 4 - 5 times a year.
While touring around Fairhope stop in at the Fairhope Information Center & pick up some brochures of fun and interesting things to do while in our area. Then travel next door to the Fairhope Museum on Section Street. Donnie and his staff are always available to answer your questions and have ever changing displays. A great & enjoyable place to visit during those beautiful bright Spring walk abouts thru Fairhope. Head next to "The Fairhope Store" in downtown Fairhope for some fun gifts.
Visiting our area for a few days? May I suggest "Bay Breeze"Bed and Breakfast on Mobile Bay. What a lovely setting and really gracious hosts. To contact them call (866) 928-8976.
If you are in need of a traditional barber shop I suggest "Dallas Jones Barber Shop" on Section Street in Fairhope. Tell Dallas or Josh that Dallas' Dad sent you in.
Looking for a realtor? May I suggest Connie Fidler Glassford with Roberts Bros. Inc. Connie is a Baldwin County native and can help you select the right property. Her phone# at the office is 251-928-2109.
